Terms of Use (EULA)

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using The Hoard ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (End User License Agreement / EULA). If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

The Hoard is a trading card collection tracker that allows you to scan, identify, and manage your physical trading card collection across multiple game franchises including Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, Naruto, Lorcana, Gundam, Riftbound, Star Wars Unlimited, Dragon Ball Super Card Game, Digimon Card Game, and Union Arena TCG. The App provides AI-powered card scanning, collection tracking, set browsing, portfolio valuation, and PSA grading support.

3. User Accounts

To use the App, you must create an account using a valid email address or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and complete information
• Notifying us of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Subscriptions and Payments

The Hoard offers a free tier and optional Pro subscriptions:

• Free Plan: Includes unlimited collection tracking, 1 binder page, 3 AI grade estimates and 2 AI buy reports each month.
• Monthly Pro: An auto-renewable one-month subscription. The App Store, Google Play, or web checkout shows the current local price before purchase.
• Annual Pro: An auto-renewable one-year subscription offered through Google Play and supported web checkout platforms. It is not currently offered through the iOS App Store.
• Pro features: Unlimited AI grade estimates and buy reports, plus 20 binder pages. Collection tracking remains unlimited on Free.

Auto-Renewable Subscription Details:

• Payment is charged to the payment account shown at checkout, including your Apple ID for App Store purchases and your Google Play account for Android purchases.
• Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price disclosed for your selected plan.
• You can manage or cancel through your App Store Account Settings for Apple purchases, Google Play subscriptions for Android purchases, or the billing provider used for web checkout.
• The Hoard does not currently offer a time-limited free trial; Free is an ongoing tier.

5. Camera and Image Use

The App requires access to your device camera to enable card scanning features. By using the scanning feature, you consent to:

• Card images being captured and transmitted to our AI processing service (Google Gemini) for identification purposes
• Images being processed in real time and not stored permanently on our servers beyond what is needed to complete the identification

You should only scan cards you own or have permission to photograph. Do not use the scanning feature to capture copyrighted material for purposes beyond personal collection tracking.

6. User Content, Safety and Moderation

You retain ownership of all data you input into the App. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you submit. The App is intended for personal collection tracking only and should not be used as professional financial advice.

The Hoard has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not upload, publish, or use a profile to promote sexual or exploitative content, child sexual abuse material, graphic violence, threats, harassment, hate speech, bullying, illegal or dangerous activity, scams, spam, impersonation, privacy violations, or content that infringes another person's rights.

• Use the More menu on another collector's profile to report that collector or block them.
• Blocking hides both collectors' profiles, public binder content, and community activity from one another and ends any friendship or pending request.
• Reports are confidential and reviewed by authorised moderators. Do not knowingly submit false or abusive reports.
• We may investigate, hide or remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence, or notify relevant authorities where reasonably necessary to enforce these terms or protect users.

We review reports as promptly as reasonably practicable, prioritising credible threats, child-safety issues, and other urgent harm. Moderation decisions may be made without advance notice where immediate action is appropriate.

7. Valuation and Pricing

The Hoard provides card valuations sourced from TCGPlayer market data and AI-assisted estimates, for informational purposes only. These valuations:

• Are not professional appraisals and should not be treated as such
• Reflect market data at a point in time and may not reflect current prices
• Should not be relied upon for insurance, resale, or financial decisions
• May contain inaccuracies due to AI identification errors or data delays

8. Intellectual Property

All trading card names, artwork, set names, and game content displayed in the App are the intellectual property of their respective owners, including but not limited to:

The Hoard is an independent collection tracker and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the above IP holders. Card data is sourced from officially available public APIs and databases for personal tracking purposes.

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Use the App to store or transmit malicious code
• Use the scanning feature to systematically copy or reproduce copyrighted card artwork for commercial purposes
• Misrepresent card conditions, grades, or ownership for fraudulent purposes

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. AI card identification may not always be accurate. We are not responsible for any financial decisions made based on information provided by the App.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Hoard and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, including but not limited to losses arising from incorrect card identification or inaccurate valuations. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately, though provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new terms within the App and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
